Book Studies
Zoom book studies build community with passionate people from across the country. We gather together to study and learn about eco-justice, environmental sustainability, and building a better world together.

In-Person Gatherings
Gather with us for walks, service days, coffee dates and more to build fellowship and live out our shared love of creation.

Webinars & Series
Learn with us through intensive engagement with God and environmental themes. We frequently invite speakers or plan deep dives into important topics for study.

Retreats
Our nature-based retreats are about getting away and going deeper. Our first retreat was at the Chincoteague Bay Field Station, an educational marine lab. Fourteen people gathered together to encounter God in our natural world through immersive, educational experiences led by marine educators. We learned about intertidal zones and adaptation, held species like sea urchins and sponges and shrimp that live on the sea floor, and learned how dunes and barrier islands are formed and move. We walked on an undeveloped beach where we discovered (and took home!) many beautiful whelk shells.
God is always speaking through creation, and we shared together the spiritual lessons we learned, especially around what’s under the surface of the water and under the surface of our lives.
Like everything else about WWC, our retreats are open to everyone, anywhere, regardless of your current or past relationship with church.
